Business Development Manager - Fixed Term Contract
Job Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a strategic role responsible for driving growth through acquiring new corporate clients, upselling to existing long-tail customers, and developing channel partnerships. Operating within the Sales department, which is part of the Customer Experience division, the BDM works closely with various teams to expand the corporate portfolio, focusing on web hosting, SaaS, and Online Brand Protection services.
As part of team.blue, a group of companies offering innovative digital services, the BDM will collaborate with other team.blue entities to leverage their expertise and solutions to serve our customers effectively. The role involves identifying opportunities, managing key relationships, and occasionally traveling to meet clients and partners in person to strengthen collaborations and drive business growth. The BDM will play a key role in Enartia’s growth and success by driving strategic initiatives and delivering exceptional value to our corporate clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
Corporate Client Acquisition & Portfolio Management
• Identify and acquire new corporate clients, growing the company’s corporate portfolio.
• Serve as the main point of contact for large corporate accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with the Account Manager and the Renewals & Cross Sell roles to manage the corporate portfolio and support ongoing client needs.
• Achieve specific annual goals related to new client acquisition and upselling/cross selling to long-tail customers.
Channel Development
• Build partnerships with agencies and other collaborators to drive adoption of our SaaS and hosting portfolio.
• Establish long-term relationships with channel partners, ensuring loyalty and increased revenue.
• Proactively ask existing partners and clients for referrals to identify new selling opportunities.
• Follow up on referral leads, nurturing them into successful partnerships or corporate accounts.
Collaboration Across Team.blue
• Work with other team.blue companies to provide reseller services, ensuring smooth operations for customers.
• Act as a liaison between team.blue service providers and the company to resolve issues and enhance service offerings.
Internal Collaboration
• Partner with the Sales Manager, who oversees inbound sales, renewals & cross-selling, to align sales strategies and corporate account activities.
• Collaborate with Support and Sales team members to identify potential corporate leads within the existing customer base.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to the Head of Customer Experience for customers’ needs, improving products, services, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the CX Ops, Training & KB team to ensure that the Corporate Sales processes and knowledge are reflected in internal and public Knowledge Base (KB) resources. Provide input and feedback for training programs to enhance the team’s understanding of Corporate Sales processes and tools.
• Work closely with the CX Ops, QA team to ensure that the Corporate Sales align with service quality standards and operational goals. Provide insights and feedback on tools, systems, and processes, contributing to continuous service improvement.
Strategic Contributions
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine business development strategies.
• Provide feedback on sales materials and tools to support the corporate sales process.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and in-person meetings with potential clients and partners.
General Contributions
• Actively contribute to the company’s goals by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Special Working Conditions
For this role, working hours are fully remote.
Some travel is required for client and partner meetings, as well as industry events.
Skills & Qualifications
Sales & Business Development Expertise
• Proven experience in business development, with a focus on corporate clients and channel management.
• Ability to manage key accounts and develop strategic partnerships.
Technical Skills
• Familiarity with web / cloud hosting and Software as a Service domain will be considered a plus.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as HubSpot, and the ability to use these tools for sales and reporting purposes.
Analytical & Reporting Skills
• Strong ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports to track performance and inform decision-making.
• Experience in creating sales forecasts and evaluating customer metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
Communication & Negotiation Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
